Mac 邮件翻译扩展 - Apple Mail 多语言翻译器 macOS · Apple Mail Extension

Privacy Policy

This App does not provide developer-managed user accounts, display advertisements, engage in personalized advertising or cross-App tracking, use advertising identifiers, or integrate marketing attribution, user behavior analytics, or crash reporting services.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to the macOS host application and Apple Mail extension of this App. The processing activities of Apple Mail, macOS, the App Store, Apple Accounts, and third-party translation services are also governed by the rules of their respective service providers.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Visible Text in Email Bodies

When you use the translation feature, this App reads the visible text required to translate the body of the email currently being viewed.

  • This App does not translate or submit email subjects, attachments, or text contained in images;
  • Encrypted or signed emails are not provided to the extension for translation;
  • The structure, layout, links, buttons, and image references in HTML emails are used only to preserve the display format;
  • This App does not modify the original email stored locally or write the translation back to the email server.

When you use Apple Translation, the email body is processed by the translation capabilities of macOS. This App does not send the email body to the developer's cloud translation backend.

When you use cloud services such as Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Qwen Translation, or Tencent Hunyuan Translation, this App sends the visible text required for translation, the source language or automatic language-detection result, the target language, the selected service, and necessary model information through the developer's cloud infrastructure to the translation service you select. This processing is used only to return the translation for that request.

2.2 Local Settings and Lightweight State Data

To maintain consistent functionality, this App stores the following information locally on your Mac:

  • Automatic or manual translation settings;
  • Source language, target language, interface language, translation service, and model selections;
  • A randomly generated local authorization token used to verify local operations between the App and the extension;
  • An irreversible digest computed from the complete email data, together with lightweight records relating to the translation button, language resource preparation, and display state;
  • The most recently confirmed Pro subscription entitlement status.

These persistent records do not contain email bodies or translations. Lightweight email-operation records are limited to the 100 most recent entries, and older records are automatically cleared when that limit is exceeded. Original email text, translations, and translation workflow states are cached temporarily only in the Mail Extension process memory, for up to 40 emails. This in-memory cache is no longer retained after the extension process exits or is reclaimed by the system.

2.3 Subscription and Purchase Information

This App offers a Pro auto-renewable subscription through the App Store and uses RevenueCat to determine subscription entitlements. To load offerings, process purchases, restore purchases, and determine Pro entitlements, Apple and RevenueCat may process:

  • An anonymous App User ID randomly generated by RevenueCat;
  • Product, purchase, subscription, free trial, renewal, expiration, refund, or revocation status;
  • Transaction time, the applicable App Store territory, and technical information required to provide the subscription service.

This App does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, or email body, and does not use a custom account identifier to associate subscription records with a developer-managed account. The developer views order and subscription statistics only through App Store Connect and RevenueCat and does not maintain a proprietary order database.

Apple is responsible for processing the actual payment. The developer does not receive your bank card number, payment password, or other complete payment credentials.

2.4 Operational and Security Information

To keep the translation APIs operational, identify faults, and prevent abuse, the developer's cloud gateway may process a request ID, request time, selected service, model, processing region, character count, processing duration, result status, and sanitized error code.

The developer's business logs do not record email bodies, translations, email subjects, senders, recipients, or authentication content, and the developer does not actively write IP addresses to its business logs. Cloud infrastructure and network service providers may temporarily process IP addresses, timestamps, and basic network information to establish connections and protect service security.

3. Purposes of Processing

We process information only to the extent necessary for the following purposes:

  1. To provide email-body translation, language detection, switching between the original text and translation, and language resource preparation;
  2. To save your selections and maintain consistent states between the App and the Mail Extension;
  3. To provide Pro purchases, purchase restoration, entitlement verification, and subscription status updates;
  4. To safeguard service security, troubleshoot faults, prevent API abuse, and control abnormal requests;
  5. To comply with obligations under applicable law and handle user inquiries, complaints, or rights requests.

We do not use email bodies or translations for advertising, marketing attribution, user profiling, behavioral analytics, or model training, and we do not authorize translation service providers to use them for model training.

4. System Permissions and Scope of Access

When you enable the extension and use the relevant features, this App, acting as an Apple Mail extension, accesses the body of the email currently being viewed through Apple's MailKit capabilities. If you disable or deactivate the Mail Extension, this App will no longer be able to provide email translation.

This App does not request access to location, camera, photos, microphone, contacts, or health data.

5. Service Providers

We use the following services, to the minimum extent necessary, to provide essential App functionality:

ServicePrimary PurposeInformation Processed

The developer will require service providers to process information only to provide the relevant services, safeguard security, and comply with legal obligations, and to provide protection no less stringent than the requirements described in this Policy. Service providers may process necessary request data in accordance with applicable law and their official terms of service; the developer does not authorize them to use email bodies or translations for model training.

6. Retention and Deletion

  1. Email bodies and translations: The developer-operated cloud backend does not write them to business databases, business logs, or backups. They are processed only for the time necessary to complete the current translation and are not retained afterward.
  2. In-memory cache: Original email text, translations, and workflow states are retained temporarily only in the extension process memory and are no longer retained after the process exits or is reclaimed by the system.
  3. Local settings and lightweight state data: These are stored on your Mac until they are overwritten by later settings, removed after exceeding a record limit, or cleared when you clear the relevant App data.
  4. Content-free operational logs: These are retained only for the shortest period necessary for troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention, and are not used to analyze user behavior.
  5. Subscription information: Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase and subscription data as necessary to provide subscriptions, restore purchases, issue refunds, prevent fraud, maintain financial records, and comply with legal obligations. The developer does not maintain a proprietary order database.

If you would like to learn about or clear information controlled by this App, you may contact us at the email address listed at the end of this Policy. For information stored only on your device, we will provide feasible instructions for clearing it locally. Purchase records independently controlled by Apple or RevenueCat must be handled through the relevant service provider's channels, and records required by law may not be deleted immediately.

7. Cross-Border Processing

Some cloud translation services may use service facilities located outside Mainland China. Whether cross-border processing occurs depends on the translation service you select and the service route actually made available.

If the relevant processing constitutes the provision of personal information outside Mainland China, before enabling the relevant route we will separately inform you, in accordance with applicable law, of the overseas recipient, processing purpose, processing method, categories of information, and method for exercising your rights. Where required by law, we will also obtain separate consent and complete the necessary personal information protection measures. We will not enable any cross-border processing route that does not meet applicable legal requirements until those requirements have been completed.

8. Security Measures

We use measures appropriate to the risks of processing to protect information, including limiting cloud-service keys held by the client, using encrypted network connections, restricting request fields and lengths, controlling access permissions, setting timeouts and exception-handling procedures, and avoiding the recording of email bodies or translations in business logs.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If information is or may be leaked, altered, or lost, we will take remedial measures in accordance with law and notify affected users and the competent authorities where required by law.

9. Your Rights

To the extent provided by applicable law, you may request to:

  1. Learn how we process information relating to you;
  2. Correct or supplement inaccurate information;
  3. Delete information under our control that is no longer needed for processing;
  4. Withdraw consent to processing carried out on the basis of consent;
  5. Submit complaints or comments regarding this Policy or our processing of information.

This App does not provide developer-managed user accounts. You may stop future processing by ceasing to use cloud translation, disabling the Mail Extension, or uninstalling this App. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing completed before the withdrawal. Subscriptions must be canceled through Apple's subscription management page; canceling a subscription and deleting privacy-related information are separate matters.

To avoid disclosing another person's information to an unauthorized person, we may need to verify a reasonable connection between the request and the relevant device, anonymous subscription identifier, or transaction record, but we will not request information unrelated to the verification purpose.

10. Minors

This App is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not specifically directed to children under 14 years of age. Minors should use this App under the guidance of a guardian; children under 14 years of age should use cloud translation only with the consent and guidance of their guardian. If a guardian believes that we have processed information relating to a child under their guardianship, they may contact us at the email address listed in this Policy.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy in response to changes in functionality, information processing practices, service providers, or legal requirements. The updated Policy will display a new update date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice through this App, the App Store product page, the policy page, or other reasonable means and obtain renewed consent where required by law.
