Terms of Use

Please read these Terms and the Privacy Policy before using this App. By downloading, installing, enabling, or using this App, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this App.

I. Eligibility

You must possess the legal capacity required to use this App. Minors should read these Terms and use this App under the guidance of a guardian. Children under the age of 14 must use this App with the consent and guidance of a guardian. This App is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 14.

II. Services

1. This App is an email translation extension for macOS and Apple Mail. It primarily translates visible text in the body of ordinary emails.
2. This App supports automatic or manual translation, automatic source-language detection, selection of source and target languages, selection of translation services, and switching between the original text and its translation.
3. This App does not translate email subjects, attachments, or text contained in images. Encrypted or signed emails are not submitted to the extension for translation.
4. When translating HTML emails, this App will make reasonable efforts to preserve their original structure, layout, links, buttons, and image references. Translation results are displayed only for the current reading session. This App does not modify the original email stored locally or write the translation back to the email server.
5. Apple Translation is processed using the translation capabilities built into macOS. When a user selects a cloud service such as Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Qwen Translation, or Tencent Hunyuan Translation, the visible email body text required for translation will be sent through the necessary cloud infrastructure to the translation service selected by the user.
6. Translation services, supported languages, models, and availability may be adjusted based on system capabilities, provider support, and version updates. Please refer to the information actually displayed in this App.

III. Important Usage Information

1. Machine translation may contain errors, omissions, ambiguities, or formatting discrepancies. Translations are provided only to assist your understanding and should not be used as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, contractual, or other professional decisions. Please verify important content against the original text and consult a qualified professional when necessary.
2. You should select an appropriate translation service based on the confidentiality of the email. If an email contains sensitive information, trade secrets, or content subject to confidentiality obligations, exercise caution when selecting cloud translation. You may select Apple Translation where it is available.
3. You must ensure that you have the right to view and submit the relevant email content for translation. You may not use this App to infringe another person's privacy, intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or other lawful rights and interests.
4. This App relies on macOS, Apple Mail, the network environment, and third-party translation services. System updates, network outages, unavailable language resources, provider limits, or service changes may cause certain features to become temporarily unavailable.

IV. Accounts

This App does not provide account registration or sign-in with the developer. Apple Accounts, App Store purchases, and subscriptions are managed by Apple and are subject to Apple's applicable terms.

V. Pro Auto-Renewable Subscription

1. This App may offer a Pro auto-renewable subscription. The specific plan, subscription period, price, benefits, and availability of any trial are as displayed on the purchase page and in Apple's purchase confirmation.
2. Subscription fees are charged by Apple through the App Store. Unless you cancel through a method provided by Apple before the end of the current subscription period, the subscription will automatically renew for the period displayed on the purchase page.
3. You may view, manage, or cancel your subscription through the Mac App Store or the subscription management page for your Apple Account. After cancellation, paid benefits generally remain available until the end of the current subscription period, subject to Apple's processing.
4. If the purchase page displays a free trial, eligibility, duration, and the terms for conversion to a paid subscription are governed by Apple's confirmation page. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, Apple may automatically renew the subscription under the plan displayed on that page and charge the applicable fee.
5. Refunds, price adjustments, payment failures, billing issues, and subscription restorations are handled by Apple under its rules. The developer does not directly obtain or process complete payment credentials such as your bank card details or payment password.
6. This App provides a “Restore Purchases” feature to restore valid benefits where permitted under Apple's rules. Restoration results are based on the information returned by Apple and the subscription entitlement service.

VI. User Content and Necessary Authorization

Email body text and other content lawfully controlled by you remain the property of their respective rights holders. To complete the translation you select, you authorize the developer, to the extent necessary, to read, segment, transmit, process, and return the visible email body text required for that translation. This authorization is used solely to provide translation, safeguard the security of the service, and troubleshoot failures, and does not transfer ownership of the content.

The developer does not use email body text or translations to train models and does not authorize translation service providers to use them for model training. The developer's own backend does not write email body text or translations to its operational databases, operational logs, or backups and does not retain them after the current processing is complete. The specific handling of request data by third-party translation services is also subject to their service rules and applicable law. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details.

VII. Prohibited Conduct

When using this App, you may not:

1. Violate any law or regulation or infringe the lawful rights and interests of others;
2. Process, transmit, or disclose another person's email content without authorization;
3. Damage or interfere with this App or its services, circumvent payment restrictions, make malicious requests, or otherwise abuse them;
4. Use reverse engineering, cracking, or other means to unlawfully obtain keys, interfaces, or protected technical information belonging to the developer or a service provider, except where expressly permitted by law;
5. Use this App to engage in fraud, harassment, dissemination of malicious content, or other unlawful activities.

VIII. Intellectual Property

Except for user content and rights lawfully held by third parties, intellectual property rights in this App's software, interface, icons, copy, and related technical work are held by the developer or the applicable rights holders in accordance with law. These Terms grant you only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use this App for personal or lawful business purposes.

The developer may use suggestions or feedback that you voluntarily submit to improve this App, provided that the developer does not identify you personally or disclose protected content.

IX. Third-Party Services

This App may use Apple's system and App Store services, RevenueCat's subscription entitlement service, and translation services provided by Apple, Google, Microsoft, Qwen, Tencent Hunyuan, and others. Third-party services are operated by their respective providers, and their availability, processing rules, and service quality may change.

The developer will select and manage service providers within a reasonable scope but cannot control all aspects of third-party systems. Service interruptions, regional restrictions, system upgrades, or policy changes involving third-party services may affect certain features of this App.

X. Service Changes, Interruptions, and Termination

The developer may update, adjust, suspend, or terminate certain features for security, compliance, system compatibility, service quality, or operational reasons. We will explain material changes that affect users' primary rights and interests through this App, the App Store product page, the agreement page, or other reasonable means.

If you violate these Terms or any law or regulation, the developer may limit or stop providing the relevant services to you to the extent reasonably necessary. Any purchased subscription will remain subject to Apple's subscription and refund rules.

XI. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

1. The developer will make reasonable efforts to maintain service stability and provide usable translation results but does not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every specific purpose.
2. You are responsible for determining whether a translation is suitable for a particular use and for decisions made based on that translation.
3. For impacts caused by force majeure, system or network failures, third-party service interruptions, changes to Apple Mail or macOS, or other circumstances beyond the developer's reasonable control, the developer will assume liability to the extent permitted by law.
4. These Terms do not exclude or limit consumer rights or statutory liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

XII. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms in response to changes in features, data processing practices, legal requirements, or third-party services. The updated Terms will state a new last-updated date. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will notify you through reasonable means. By continuing to use this App after the update takes effect, you accept the updated Terms, except where otherwise required by law.

XIII. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China as applied in Mainland China. The parties should first attempt to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of this App through amicable consultation. If consultation fails, either party may bring an action before a people's court of competent jurisdiction at the developer's domicile.
